VISUAL ART
These are all the things that started out in my sketchbook
SCULPTOR
creating pieces that are dark, surreal, and sometimes kitschy
I specialize in mixed media sculpture with a strong interest in found materials as well as the traditional clay and sculpting wire.
The first set is a twisted commentary on my transition from child to adult. Most works were made in 2016/2017. This subject matter is ever present in all my works.
The second set is my breadth, displaying my range in mixed media sculpture.
PAINTER
acrylic-based that leans into graphic and bold imagery
I just can't stand oil paint. Sorry to the masters of history, but I don't get it. I have painted two major murals in my life, one in acrylic and the other in clay. I also dabble in watercolor.
Major Inspirations:
Jean-Michel Basquiat, Rene Magritte, Salvador Dali, Frida Khalo, Diego Rivera, and Keith Haring (helps that I majored in Art History, huh.)
